A Review of Globe Telecom's Customer Service

A Review of Globe Telecom's Customer Service It took 1 year and 7 months to resolve a spurious billing charge. I have a Globe Broadband with landline subscription to Globe for a few years now.  Last January 2015, one of their representatives called me offering me a free unlimited call to any Globe number, including Globe landlines nationwide.   In exchange, I have to agree to extend my lock-in period with them.  I agreed. In February 2016, I found out that there is a new charge in my bill amounting to Ps 99.00. A snapshot of Globe's recent bill showing conflicting billing details, first line says free, last line contradicts itself. When I called Globe to clarify the charges, they told me that I have been charged additional 99 pesos a month on top of my contract because I did not call them to terminate the promo.  They told me  when the promo expired after 1 year, I will be charged.   They said, that I should have called them to extend the p...

PLDT Phone Line Transfer Response Time

How Long Does It Take PLDT to Move a Single Phone Line to a House 5 Meters Away? Answer:  3 Months.  Request made June 11, 2016.  It was completed on Sept 8, 2016. History of this request: June 11, 2016 -- my wife called 171 to request to transfer a phone line from one house to another house which is only 5 meters away. Almost every other day, my wife makes a follow-up to PLDT.   All she gets are the same promises. I have recently initiated a follow-up in their twitter account, the same promises -- " We understand your sentiments regarding with this matter. We are coordinating to our support group". After 3 months, PLDT eventually reconnected the phone in the first week of Sept 2016. This is an example of very bad customer service, a perfect way to lose customers.  I will no longer subscribe and deal with PLDT in the future.   I have already subscribed to Globe lines and I have some billing issues with them but generally not as serious a...

FitFlop Kooper

Fitflop Kooper - the best shoes I've ever had, unfortunately - discontinued. I was not impressed with the look of these shoes but my wife convinced me that I should try them because she says Fitflops are comfortable.  So, I did try them and I after walking on them, I was convinced that I bought them.  This was in 2012.   Since then, I have worn them almost everyday (except on formal days).  These pair have been through all sorts of terrain paved and unpaved and they never disappoint.  They are so comfortable.   After 4 years of wearing them everyday, this is how my Fitflop Kooper looked like - old and worn but I loved them for they gave me comfortable walks for years. Time for a replacement and I am 100% sure, I am going to buy another Fitflop Kooper, so I went to our local Fitflop store in Manila and to my dismay, they don't have stock - they told me this model is discontinued.  I searched for it around the internet but I cannot...

Globe Telemarketing

"Globe Morning!" I've been hearing this greeting from the other end of the line from my globe mobile phone almost every week for the last two years already.  The purpose of the call? Telemarketing.  Globe agents  offering me the same post paid line again and again. For the first few calls, I don't mind if I have time. I let them talk and I politely decline the offer.  But the few times became a lot of times.  I have probably received more than 40 calls already for the last two years offering me  the same product repeatedly. How come Globe Telecom sales group keep on offering me the same postpaid line again and again almost every week?   I asked the last agent that called me - "Do you realize that your officemates have been offering me the same postpaid line for the last 2 years already?"  He says he's not aware of it.  Well I can't blame him.  The problem is Globe (as a company) has no facility to remember the customer responses. ...

GSAT

GSAT or Global Satellite is a distributor of a paid direct-to-home multimedia broadcast. They have a line-up of international channels, Philippine channels of both local TV and local AM/FM stations. I've recently subscribed to them and the following is my feedback of their services. For 500 pesos a month, you get these channels: The initial payment for installation and the box is Ps 6,500.00.  This includes the dish on your roof, the cables, cable box, payment for the installers and 1 month advance subscription.  Succeeding payment is Ps 500/month. For updated list of channels, please visit their channel listing . GPINOY - they also have a lower cost package for Ps 99.00 a month, they call GPinoy. Advantages of GSAT: I love that they have 8 channels already in High Definition format.  If you have screens at home already that are capable of HD display (1080p format), then you will appreciate having that much detail. I am mostly watching e...
